Hank Aaron | Restaurant Owner
For many baseball fans, Hank Aaron is a name well-known to many. After all, he was one of the sport’s most legendary players. Dubbed ‘The Hammer,’ he set 755 home runs throughout his career, eclipsing Babe Ruth’s record and retaining the record for 33 years until Barry Bonds surpassed him in 2006. In tandem with his career, he became a civil rights activist, fueled greatly by the discrimination he faced during his career.
While the baseball legend has certainly left a mark, Aaron was also a notable businessman. In the years after he retired, he had owned several franchises of major food brands as part of his investments. Some of the brands include Krispy Kreme, Popeye’s, and Church’s Chicken. In addition to fast food, he previously served on the executive board of the Atlanta Braves, which was the team he played for throughout his career.
