Taran Noah Smith | Restaurateur

Born on April 8, 1984, Taran Noah Smith is an American former actor who received credit for playing Mark Taylor on the sitcom Home Improvement. He became a member of the cast of the sitcom for nine straight years. At the age of 17, when the sitcom ended, he married Heidi van Pelt, but the couple called it quits in 2007. He also appeared in 7th Heaven, Ebbie, Abandoned, and Little Bigfoot 2: The Journey Home. Aside from these works, he had a voice-acting gig for an episode of Batman Beyond.

Smith is a vegan, and in 2005, he and his-then wife started a non-dairy cheese manufacturer and restaurant based in California known as Playfood. The restaurant focuses on selling organic and vegan foods. The former actor is also the Technical Manager for the Community Submersibles Project. Here, he teaches people to pilot submarines.
