Thomas William Selleck is an American actor, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on January 29, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. His first television appearance was in 1965 on The Dating Game. Selleck was best known for his role as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. In this role, he received credits, including five Emmy Awards nominations. He also appeared in films like Three Men and a Baby, Three Men and a Little Lady, Mr. Baseball, Quigley Down Under, Jesse Stone: Stone Cold, Killers, An Innocent Man, Monte Walsh, Crossfire Trail, Runaway, The Shadow Riders, In & Out, Last Stand at Saber River, and Lassiter.

These days, Selleck is enjoying his quiet life away from the limelight. He spends most of his time on his 60-acre ranch in California, where he manages his own avocado farm.
