Lisa Jakub | Writer and Yoga Instructor
Former Canadian actress Lisa Jakub graduated with a degree in Sociology in 2010 at the University of Virginia. However, long before graduating, she was once a popular child star in the ‘80 and 90s. Some might remember her as Lydia Hilliard in the critically-acclaimed dramedy Mrs. Doubtfire, alongside the likes of Robin Williams, Sally Field, and Pierce Brosnan. She also appeared in the 1996 sci-fi action film The Independence Day as Alicia Casse.
Despite having relative success in the industry, by the time Jakub was 22 years old in 2001, she decided to retire from acting. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a Sociology degree, she pursued a career in writing. The former actress has a couple of published books under her belt titled Not Just Me and You Look Like That Girl. Moreover, she is also a qualified yoga teacher.
