Ariana Richards was one of the most recognizable actresses in the world during the 90s and early 2000s. One of Ariana’s most notable acting roles is in the film The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Despite showing the potential that she could be a successful actress, Richards decided to take an indefinite break from acting in 2001.

Richards traded away a potentially successful career as an actress in order to chase a college degree. She studied and finished fine arts and drama at Skidmore College. All those years, she managed to stay away from acting and focus on her goals. After graduating, Richards went back to acting in 2013 for a minor role, but for the most part she’s been busy filling her time as a painter. You could definitely say that Richards chose a more comfortable life as a painter than being a high-profile Hollywood actress.
